Air Temperature: 14

Distance Covered:

Afternoon off and 18 knots according to Solent Sailboards, so headed down to Calshot. Wind looked a little bit more marginal than that when I arrived, but probably still enough for my bigger board and a 6m. Tide was rapidly going out and my fin got intimate with the sandbars on a couple of occasions at the start, so waded out past the sandbars and then it was OK. Had a couple of planing runs and one very nice gybe which I planed out of, but then the wind dropped off. Long wade back in over some sharp stones, since by now the tide was right out. Pretty crap session, but at least the sun was shining.
